At the sound of a knock at the dent , Amber’s heart leaped with joy , her error instantly dissipating

Though Amber kept a straight face , Elisa still noticed that adorable little cowlick sticking up on her head , and the twinkle in her eyes that betrayed her hidden delight
Amber was secretly thrilled , but her pride wouldn’t let it show . Playing along , Elisa set down the tray and quietly withdrew .
