65 She’ll Be Fine
No matter what, Alice was going to force Linda to make a choice.
Even in front of reporters, Linda couldn’t afford to lose her temper or let her expression slip. Otherwise, she’d definitely rip Alice’s smug little face apart.
She took a deep breath just to keep her voice calm and steady.
“If that’s what you want to believe, then fine. Whatever makes you happy, Alice.”
She looked helpless, as if she had no choice but to swallow her bitterness.
Alice took a step forward. The media’s here too, so why don’t you just tell everyone now that you’re not going to support me anymore, right?”
She paused for a beat, and as Linda was stunned, she added, “All those things you used to say, about stepping aside for me, about never hurting me, were all those lies?”
Linda’s face instantly turned pale and flustered.

Damon was confused.
Alice gave a cool smile and lifted the first sample for everyone to see.
“What’s the big deal?” someone asked loudly.

being objective. Don’t take it the wrong way and insult Mr. Hawkin again.”
She even looked like she was about to cry.
“Hate me all you want, but don’t ruin your future just because I stood on Mr. Hawkin’s side.”
Alice’s face darkened. “You know what? You could’ve just kept that to yourself.”
The crowd wasn’t interested in Linda’s drama. Everyone just wanted to hear how Alice planned to refute Halsey, so they were starting to get annoyed.
Linda went quiet at last.
With no one interrupting her now, Alice continued.

“She’s here to help us. If she gets bullied by Halsey, I’d never be able to face her again.”
Eric was at a loss for words.
Daniel was hinting him.
He pressed his lips together and said, “She’ll be fine.”
