“Since you’re not denying it, I’m guessing you do.
“Well, Jaxon Group’s been developing some next–gen smart tech.
“You know, stuff like devices, computers, even robotics.
“I haven’t gone deep into the details, but I can fell it’s all moving toward automation.
“We need to get in on that wave.”
Eric didn’t even raise his head. “Not interested.”
Ruby was stunned.
He’s seriously turning down money ?
She gave him a skeptical look.
“You’re really going to turn down a/deal with Jaxon Group?”
Eric responded coldly, “Isn’t that what this visit’s about–testing whether I’d team up with them?
“If they want to help you, just accept the offer.
“Why drag me into this? You think I’ve got time to waste?”

Alice rolled her eyes.
She turned to face him, not expecting to see Venom here–of all places.
“It’s really you! I wasn’t stalking you or anything–I just happened to be nearby
Alice reminded him flatly, “This is hospital property. Guards are stationed everywhere. You can’t get in without clearance.”
Venom was speechless.
“You never change. Just one sentence from you, and I want to vanish.”
“So what do you want?”
Alice didn’t feel like seeing him, so she skipped the pleasantries.
Venom lifted his hand and pulled out a card.
“Looking for this guy?”
A name was printed on the card.
James Richardson.
The moment her eyes caught the name, Alice’s gaze sharpened.
She definitely knew who it was.
Venom smirked.
He swiftly pocketed the card.
“I know. He’s the lead engineer at Jaxon Group, and tonight he’s booked at a Nolan Group’s hotel.
“If you hate him, just say the word, and I’ll take care of it.”
Venom spoke like an eager child seeking praise.
His eyes glowed with determination.
He was completely serious.
Alice didn’t stop him.
She asked, “And after you kill him, then what?”
Venom’s grin turned menacing.
“I’ll purge everything.”
It didn’t matter who it was; CEO or janitor at Jaxon Group, they’d all be eliminated.

Alice asked, “How long did it take you to get this unhinged?”
Venom froze in place.
Then his face lit up, thrilled.

“Why do you always act like you don’t care?
“You’re worried. I know you are, so why not show it a little?”
Alice felt like screaming.
She pressed her fingers to her temples and rushed to clarify.
“You’re getting the wrong idea.”
