Alice didn’t respond.
Carefully observing Eric’s expression, Daniel decided to take the risk and sprang into action.

He quickly stepped aside and nudged Eric toward the reporters.
Both Eric and Alice were speechless.
Still, they went along with it.
The two of them stood side by side as the reporters rushed to capture the moment.
Given how rarely these two appeared together despite being publicly married, this was gold.
A photo like this was guaranteed to pull in some major clicks.
This was headline material, an absolute bombshell.
When Alice reached the door, she finally noticed someone waiting for her–a man wearing gold–rimmed glasses.

He paused, as if something had just occurred to him.

Alice gave a slight nod. “You’re ranked 77th on the dark web’s hacker ranking.”
Zachary froze.
He hadn’t expected Alice to know about the hacker rankings on the dark web.
When Boston first invited him to this event, he’d actually been a little annoyed.
But once he heard that the Chanaean team had faced provocation by representatives from other countries, he showed up anyway. He didn’t want his country’s reputation dragged through the mud .

He did get in–just not where he intended. He ended up hacking into the Molvanians‘ system .
Even when he wanted to help, there was nothing left for him to do.
But because of that, he witnessed Alice wiping out the virus firsthand.
Her technique was pure genius.
Every line of her code served a purpose.
Every algorithm was spot on.
In that moment, a thought crossed his mind.
Did Boston invite me to help … or did he just want to show off that he had a sister who’s a genius ?
Either way, Zachary had made up his mind–he wanted to be friends with Alice.
At the very least, they could exchange some technical insights.
“Um, I’m a friend of Boston’s.”
Truthfully, he used to look down on Boston.
He’d rarely ever introduced himself as Boston’s friend.
But to make a good impression on Alice, he was throwing all pride aside, grabbing onto any possible connection he could use to get closer to her.
Alice responded flatly, “Really? You sure don’t have great taste in friends.”
Zachary was caught completely off guard by her remarks.
Alice rubbed her brow. “Do you need anything else. If not, could you move aside? I’m trying to go out.”
Zachary immediately felt awkward.
Still, he couldn’t keep blocking the door, so he stepped aside.
Once Alice stepped out, she immediately spotted Boston’s car parked right outside the entrance.
She felt a wave of irritation wash over her.
Can this guy just give it a rest already ?
As soon as Boston saw her, he lowered the car window.

Alice was speechless.
Daniel asked, “… Mr. Boston, do you even know what you are talking about right now?”
Boston paused to think. Zachary had stepped in to help earlier, and they probably hadn’t even noticed.
His brow furrowed.
His assistant quickly jumped in.
“Ms. Spencer, Mr. Nolan, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but things were critical carlier. Mr. Boston went out of his way to bring in some serious help for you.”
Alice and Eric exchanged a glance.
Both of them saw the same speechless look in each other’s eyes.
Daniel was speechless, too.
Honestly, he was at a loss for words.
Boston’s assistant noticed their silence.
He figured Alice probably had some knowledge of computer systems.
Surely she had realized someone was helping them behind the scenes?
After all, judging by the livestream, Alice had acted as if she had some kind of

Mr. Boston is willing to let go of everything that happened before . Now that he’s helped Ms. Alice , she owes him .
The least she can do is help him fulfill afwish or two to return the favor .

Daniel was fuming at how entitled this sounded.

Daniel didn’t want Eric or Alice dragged into this nonsense..
He’d handle it himself.
Ultimately, it was just about putting this arrogant guy in his place. No big deal.
He’d done that kind of thing plenty of times while working beside Alice.
Alice said nothing, which meant she was fine with Daniel’s approach.
Back in the hall, Zachary had been extremely curious about Alice .
But it was clear she had no intention of socializing with him, so he had no choice but to give up the idea .
But just as he walked out of the building, he saw that Alice still hadn’t left.
All of a sudden, a flicker of hope rose in his heart.
