Everyone fell silent. No one dared to speak anymore.
The remaining male actors stepped up to perform one by one.
But compared to Boston, they fell short.
That was until Levi took the stage.
His prompt was similar to Boston’s–a rich young man facing emotional turmoil.
This time, the scene involved him discovering a keepsake that once belonged to his parents, many years after their deaths.
It was a silent performance. No dialogue.
Which meant everything depended on his acting.
As Levi held the keepsake in his hand, his eyes widened in disbelief.
Then, slowly, his gaze reddened; it became bloodshot, and tears welled up.
He clutched the object tightly and bent over, as if he were crying.
His chest heaved, his lips trembled–he looked like he wanted to speak, but the emotions were too much.
Not a single word escaped.
Finally, his breath hitched. A raw, guttural sob broke free.
Tears streamed down his cheeks.
Though he hadn’t spoken a word, the atmosphere in the room turned heavy.
People started tearing up just watching him.
They didn’t even know exactly what had happened in the story.
They just felt the pain.
Risa stood up immediately.
The other judges were visibly stunned.
Only Alice stayed calm. She gave him an eight.
The rest of the panel? Straight tens across the board.
Levi quickly stepped out of character and gave a small bow.
“That concludes my performance. Thank you.”

Seeing the scores, he looked pleased.
Especially getting an eight from Alice–that was already a big deal.
The rest of the room stayed quiet, still caught up in the emotion of his scene.
Risa, however, couldn’t stay in her seat.
“When I first saw you audition at the hotel,” she said, “I honestly thought you were just a backup.
“How did you improve this much in such a short time?”
It was a question everyone else had, too.
Levi looked a little shy..
“I want to thank Ms. Spencer for that.”
Everyone turned to Alice, confused.
Why would she have anything to do with this ?
Just then, someone stepped into the room.
“You’re not going to mention me at all?”
“Mr. Warren!” someone gasped.
All the judges immediately stood up in respect.
He waved a hand. “Relax, everyone. I’m just here to check on my student’s progress. No need to get all stiff.”
Student’s progress ?
People looked around, stunned.
Ryan walked straight over to Alice. He knew he had to explain himself.
“Alice,” he said, “how’d I do on the task you gave me?”
The entire room froze. They couldn’t believe it.
Ryan is here to report to Alice ?
Alice pointed casually at the score she gave–eight.
Ryan lit up. “Eight! That’s great! Levi, you didn’t embarrass me!”
Levi’s face flushed with embarrassment. He lowered his head slightly.
Then the room exploded.
“Wait, what? Ryan’s his mentor?”

“That explains everything. No wonder Levi improved so fast!”
“But hold on–what’s going on between Ryan and Alice?”
“Yeah, he acts like he’s trying to impress her!”
“I thought I was the only one who noticed that.”
Ryan just grinned.
“Alice, I finished the assignment. So my painting…”
“I’ll have someone deliver it later,” Alice said calmly.
Ryan beamed.
“I hit the jackpot. Not only do I have a great student, but now I also get a masterpiece.
Alice nearly died of secondhand embarrassment.
“It’s not a masterpiece. I just doodled something.”
“Even a doodle from you is worth a fortune,” Ryan laughed. Satisfied, he finally turned to Levi.
“Did I hear that right? A painting?”
“Maybe Alice owns some famous artwork, and Ryan saw it?”
“But why would she give it to him?”
“Sounds more like she asked Ryan to mentor Levi.”
