But before she drank, she noticed Dylan standing motionless, his gaze locked onto Robin with quiet fury. “Aren’t you going to join us, Mr. Scott?” she asked, a crease forming between her brows. She was baffled. The room had no shortage of seating, yet Dylan remained on his feet.
Dylan didn’t respond immediately, though his features softened ever so slightly as he glanced at her, lips tightly drawn. Watching her clueless face, a stifling weight settled on his chest. He hadn’t known this kind of emotional chaos until Christina entered his life. Yet, she didn’t seem to see any of it—and that realization crushed him.
