Christina stopped him. “If you’re sick, sit in the front. Don’t push it.” She opened the passenger door for him. “Actually, maybe we should go to the hospital?”
“No need. I’ll be fine after some rest,” Dylan muttered. With no other choice, he slid into the front seat. Great. His little lie had backfired. If he insisted on the back now, Christina would haul him to the ER.

Elliott didn’t hesitate to accept the explanation. “That actually clears things up.”
