Shaun looked at Halsey. “Were you touching me?”
When did he even wake up?
Halsey’s lashes trembled; she blushed when Shaun caught her red-handed. She quickly tried to pull her wrist back. “I-I wasn’t!”
Shaun grabbed her hand again, clearly amused. “You weren’t? Then what exactly were you doing just now? Care to explain?”
“1-1…” Halsey stammered, completely lost for words.
Shaun’s lips curved into a playful smile. “Can’t explain it? Sounds to me like you were taken in by my charm and couldn’t help yourself.”
Halsey yanked her hand away and denied it. “I was not!”
Shaun rolled over suddenly, pinning her underneath him.
Halsey froze. “What are you doing?”
Shaun smirked. “What do you think I’m doing?”
Her whole body tensed-she could feel him pressing against her. He was aroused again.
Even though they had done it just last night, he was full of energy this morning and clearly wanted more.
Halsey grew nervous. “Y-You’d better not-mmph!”
Shaun leaned down and kissed her hard on the lips.
She hurriedly pushed him away. “Please let me go. I-I don’t have the strength anymore.”
Shaun looked at her with a glint of interest in his eyes. “You don’t need strength. Just lie back and enjoy it.”
Halsey pressed both hands against his solid chest, panicking. “No! Please don’t!”
“You really don’t want to?”
“I really don’t!”
She was still in the early stages of pregnancy. Last night had already been too much-she didn’t dare risk it again. She was afraid he might hurt the baby.
Just then, a phone started ringing, its tone soft but clear.
Halsey took the opportunity and pushed at him. “Someone’s calling you.”
Shaun reached for his phone on the nightstand. Halsey glanced down and saw the caller ID.
Chelsea… Chelsea was calling him.
All the color drained from Halsey’s face. The blush on her cheeks faded into a pale gray. He had a girlfriend, and yet he still ended up in bed with her.
She shoved him away. “Your girlfriend’s calling. Go ahead and answer. I’m getting up.”
She started to climb out of bed.
But Shaun reached out and pulled her straight into his arms. “Who said you could leave?”

Halsey looked at him. “Aren’t you going to answer your girlfriend’s call?”
Shaun raised one brow, a little cocky and a little wild. “Of course I am, but that doesn’t mean you have to go.”
What was that supposed to mean? Was he going to hold her while talking to Chelsea on the phone? Was he enjoying the feeling of having one in each arm?
Halsey resisted. “No! Let me go. I want to get up.’

Shaun lowered his voice playfully. “Shh. I’m answering a call. It’s best if you stay quiet.”
Before she could protest, Shaun picked up the call.
Halsey couldn’t get free. He held her tightly against him, forcing her to listen as he spoke to Chelsea.
Chelsea’s voice came through clearly. “Hey, Shaun. Where are you right now?”
She sounded like she thought she was the only woman in his life, checking in like she had every right.
Shaun glanced down at Halsey in his arms, answering lazily, “I’m out.”
“Out where? I called you so many times last night, but your phone was off. Were you with Ms. Mallin?”
Halsey’s face turned ghostly pale when she heard Chelsea mention her name. She felt like she had become Shaun’s side piece.
