It had been a long time since Shaun and Halsey had been together. At his age, full of energy and desire, it was hard not to feel tempted after being that close to her again.

His phone buzzed.
Shaun pulled it from his pocket and opened Instagram. A friend request had come in.
The handle was “cute_potato”.
A faint smirk tugged at Shaun’s lips. When did Halsey change her handle to that? Was she trying to be cute?
Well… She was pretty cute.
Shaun accepted the request.
On the other end, Geneva nearly jumped with excitement. “He accepted! Now we’re following each other on Instagram!”
Shaun had approved Geneva’s request and followed her back.
Halsey forced a small smile. “Congrats.”

Geneva wasn’t the shy type. Young, bold, and straightforward, she just went for it.

The heat he’d tried to cool off earlier came surging back. He typed out a reply.
Geneva exclaimed, “He replied! Let me see what he said.”
Halsey looked over just as Geneva opened the message.

The mature man’s flirty reply was the kind that made your face burn and your heart race.
Sure enough, Geneva’s beautiful face was instantly flushed. She had seen Shaun earlier in the living room-he was so composed, elegant, distant; the type who seemed completely

It was almost too naughty.
Geneva’s heart was beating like crazy. She typed back. [Very.]
Shaun read the reply and smiled faintly.
Not long after, Geneva sent another message. [Can we have dinner together tomorrow?]
She was going for it now-she was asking him out.
Halsey watched as the confident, energetic Geneva launched a full-on pursuit. Her heart ached in silence.
Would Shaun say yes?

His reply came. [Sure. I’ll have my assistant make a reservation at a steak restaurant for tomorrow.]
Geneva squealed with joy and grabbed Halsey’s arm. “Did you see that? He just agreed to go on a date with me!”
Halsey stared at the message. Her eyes stung.
Shaun actually accepted.
Didn’t he have a girlfriend? Wasn’t he worried Chelsea would find out?
Or… Had he changed? Was he now the kind of guy who couldn’t say no, who liked pretty young girls?
Geneva quickly typed back, [Sounds good.]
Just like that, their date was set.
Halsey forced a smile. “Congrats.”
“Thanks! I owe you one. You helped bring us together!” Geneva said cheerfully.
Halsey didn’t know what to say.
“I’m heading off. Gotta go get ready for my date with him tomorrow!” With that, Geneva waved and left in a hurry.
