Felicia raised her eyebrows slightly, Inn she wasn’t surprised.
Given Imogen’s hostility and resentment toward her, Felicia had anticipated the medicine being discarded or destroyed. Hearing Kerry confirm this did nor shock her in the slightest.
“You’ve worked hard, running back and forth like that. Take a day off and rest,” Felicia said, continuing to sort through the herbs.
She had already withdrawn her hand, but Kerry still didn’t dare lift his head. “Ms. Fuller…”
“What’s the matter?”
“Ms. Russell ruined all your effort. She’s so ungratefull,” Kerry said indignantly, his face and neck flushing with anger as he raised his head. The more he Thought about it, the more it infuriated him.
Felicia, however, was unfazed. “She paid the consultation fee–a hefty sum at that. I honored my promise and delivered the medicine. Whether she uses it or not is her choice . ”
Kerry muttered under his breath, “So what if she paid? You made that medicine, something others couldn’t get even if they begged. And Ms. Russell just tossed it… It’s no wonder she’s blind.”
What a whiny complainer of an assistant she had.
Felicia couldn’t help but let out a laugh. She reached out and knocked on Kerry’s head lightly. “No talking behind people’s backs.”
“Okay…” Kerry obediently shut up.
Felicia thought for a moment and asked, “Did you hear any news about Mr. Russell while you were at the Russell residence?”
“Mr. Russell?” Kerry pondered for a moment before nodding. “I did. I heard that he’s been poisoned. They say he’s been unconscious for several days.”
Felicia froze.
“What? Are you sure you didn’t mishear?”
Her hand unconsciously clenched tightly into fists.
After leaving the rainforest, and even during their time at the small hospital, she had checked Stephan’s pulse more than once. The toxins causing his blindness was under control. How could he suddenly fall unconscious?
It was no wonder her calls went unanswered and her messages were ignored!

Just a few days ago, Stanley had come to see her, saying only that Stephan was busy. So, that was a lie, huh?
Stuffing the unsorted herbs into a small box, Felicia double–checked her supplies to ensure everything was in order and then strode out.
Kerry hurried to catch up, asking, “ Ms. Fuller, where are you going?”
“I’m heading to Seldvale. I’ll leave the clinic in your hands. Call me if you run into things you can’t deal with.”
Felicia’s actions were swift, and she left as soon as she made up her mind. Scarlet followed closely behind, taking the medicine kit from Felicia’s hand. The two got into a cab and headed straight for the airport.
Kerry stood there, scratching his head after a while, his expression a mix of confusion and sadness.
What Felicia didn’t know was that, less than ten minutes after she left, a black Maybach discreetly followed the cab from a distance.
Inside the luxurious leather interior of the Maybach, Maurice smirked coldly and made a phone call
Felicia had booked her ticket at the last minute. When she arrived at the airport, she was informed that the flight to Seldale was canceled due to mechanical issues.
She was taken aback. Something about the explanation didn’t seem convincing
Still, since the staff had said so, she tried to reschedule. However, the earliest available flight was three days later. Nothing was available sooner What kind of coincidence was this? It felt suspiciously like someone was targeting her .
