I glanced at him. “I didn’t forget. The only reason I made this decision is because I’ve already figured out a way to extend your life. But it’s going to be hard on you.”
Alpha Henry froze. “So you already planned on going?”
His expression turned sharply serious–clearly, he hadn’t expected I’d made up my mind so early on.
I nodded.
“Without test subjects, I can’t continue the research. And your life was only saved because of me. Even with your strength, your body won’t hold up to repeated trials. So heading to a high- risk infection zone was always part of the plan. I just didn’t expect the day to come so soon.”
