Franklin spoke again, “Then you contact Grandma?”
Maggie: “…”
She didn’t even need to think to know that the old lady would definitely not agree to her walking away from the divorce with nothing.
She asked, “If we don’t change the divorce agreement, when can we go register for the divorce?”
Franklin: “It should be within this year.”

Maggie looked up and answered, “He’s not here.”

The candidate paused, glanced at her, then finally sat down and said, “Let’s go ahead.”
Seeing his laid–back attitude, Maggie directly asked, “How do you want to do this interview?”
The candidate seemed a little surprised by her question, as if she didn’t give off the impression of someone who would ask such a thing.
Raising his eyebrow, he said, “I can do it however I want?”
Maggie replied, “Tell me your plan?”
The man pulled out a laptop from his bag, fiddled with it for a bit, and handed it to her. Then he leaned
back, crossing his legs, and began eating a lollipop, watching her intently.
Maggie glanced at the screen; it was a long string of code.
After a while, she didn’t say anything and just began to make changes.
Not long later, she turned the laptop toward him and said, “It’s done.”
The man, casually chewing on his candy, stood up, took a look, then froze. His eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at Maggie.
The code he had written was of very high quality, but Maggie had modified it in such a short amount of time.
The revised code was not only more optimized in terms of templates and efficiency, but its scalability was also improved significantly!
How was this even possible?
Although strong programming skills didn’t mean everything, the ability to make improvements at this level was something he had never encountered before.
Excited, he leaned forward, placing his hands on the table, staring at Maggie with wide eyes, “You’re Maggie, right? What a nice name. Which school did you graduate from? How long ago? Which projects have you led? Can you tell me about them?”
He had moved a bit too close, and Maggie leaned back slightly, creating some distance, before asking, “Do you still want to continue the interview?”
“Yes, we must finish the interview!” The man said eagerly, and extended his hand toward Maggie. “Hello, I’m Glen White. Nice to meet you.”
Maggie shook his hand. “I know.”
She already had his resume on hand.
Looking at him, she asked, “Next, are you interviewing me, or should I interview you?”
Glen smiled and said, “Either way works.”
Maggie looked at his resume and noted that his strength was in algorithms.
After reviewing his ability in data cleaning, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning, she proceeded to assess his innovative solutions to new problems.
The interview took a long time, and by the end, Maggie could confirm that Glen’s professional skills were
indeed impressive.
What was especially notable was that he had switched fields midway.
In fact, he had only been in the AI field for just over a year, but in that short time, his expertise had already surpassed that of most PhD students from top universities.
With his talent, if he kept this momentum, his future prospects would be boundless.
Maggie closed his resume and asked a more personal question: “Your resume says you grew up in A country. Can you tell me why you decided to come back here?”
