I relaxed immediately and hugged him .
“ Why’d you bring us here ? I buried my face in his chest , fatigue starting to take over . I knew he could hear me .
“ Take your panties off , ” he whispered .
I looked up at him . His eyes were dark , and he had a cheeky smile on his face .
I obeyed and pushed away from him to pull my panties off . I was wearing a blue spaghetti strap skater dress that ended just above my knees . Since it was a special night , I had put on a lacy black thong . I wriggled out of my panties and held it up for Blake .
He took it from my hand and put it up to his nose . He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in . A low growl erupted from his chest , and when he opened his eyes , they were much , much darker .
He put my panties in his jacket pocket and pressed me against the door again .
“ The anticipation of what’s going to happen next will drive you crazy . That’s going to be so much fun later in bed ” he slammed his lips into mine and kissed me hungrily .
I melted into his arms and enjoyed his soft lips . His cheek behavior was turning me on . I liked this side of him .
His phone started to vibrate in his pocket . He growled and pulled away .
“ I’m sorry , Angel , I have to take this . ” He pulled his phone out and growled again . The vibration from his growls was making my insides vibrate with desire .
“ This better be important , James . ” He barked on the phone .
From the corner of my eye , I saw Rocky walk up behind Blake . His face scrunched up like he had smelt something bad . I moved a little to see him better . Taylor was standing next to him . The laughs and smiles we were having had disappeared and were replaced by distraught .
I looked up at Blake , and he , too , had his face scrunched together , listening to the conversation on the phone .
“ Okay , we’re on our way . Can you please get a team ready ? I want security around Rosy and Taylor at all times ” Blake said his goodbyes and hung up .
“ Blakey , what’s going on ? ” I looked towards Rocky and Taylor and then back up at Blake .
“ Angel , I had some people trying to find your mum , and they have just called to say they found her . Unfortunately , there was an accident in Bakersfield . Richard and your mum were in a head – on collision with a truck . ” He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer .
Oh lord , no , no , no …
My stomach churned . There was an ache in the pit of my belly and a lump formed in my throat . His voice was shaky and full of concern .
“ I’m sorry , Angel , Richard didn’t make it , but your mum is in ICU at the local hospital . ”
It felt like someone had stabbed me in the heart . I couldn’t breathe , and I felt hot .
“ Rosy … ” Rocky’s voice came from behind Blake .
Blake moved aside but held on to me . He knew I needed his touch right now .
Taylor was holding Rocky’s arm . He had his jaws clenched and was trying to keep a straight face . His moist eyes were telling another story . I could see the hurt and pain in them .
As much as Richard walked out on Rocky , he was still his father .

“ I called her already . She’s waiting for us ” his voice was tight and low .
I nodded and looked up at Blake . He gave me a tight smile .
“ Shall we ? ” He motioned towards the main entrance .
