I quickly stood up and walked away from my desk, warmly greeting Jordan.
“Mr. Jordan, hello.” I smiled, gesturing for him to take a seat, and asked Carol to bring water and coffee.
I had heard from Eleanor that Jordan handed over the reins of Yorksen Doors to his son for health reasons. Seeing him, it was evident that his complexion wasn’t great. “Ms. Chloe, it’s been a while. Sorry for the trouble.”
He was humble. But his son, Jesse, had an unpleasant and restrained expression. Even though they came to see me, it seemed like he wasn’t too willing.

by letting you drag me here. Why should apologize to her? They are the ones who terminated the contract. Do we really have to beg for cooperation like this?
Jesse looked at his father with disdain. I maintained a faint smile, unperturbed.
Jordan was instantly angered by Jesse’s defiance, slamming the sofa armrest. “Ungrateful brat!”

“Forgive us. Forgive us for the embarrassment.” Jordan’s voice trembled.
I quickly picked up a glass of water and handed it to him. “Take it easy. A sip of water will help.”
