“Yes, Ms. Trinity,” Erik replied respectfully.

Seeing my nervousness, Trinity stood up with a smile. “Why are you so nervous?”

“Since you two want to befriend
each other, propose a more traditional approach. You should become sworn sisters according to my family’s customs. That way, you’ll be like family. Trinity would gain a sister, and I’d gain another daughter.
“You’ll look out for each other from now on. What do you think, Chloe?”
I was dumbfounded and wondered how Trinity’s invitation led to this situation. I could only stand there in a daze as everyone looked at me. I knew those behind Anson were the family’s big shots.
